A grant of $1 million to the Ploughshares Fund to support redirecting U.S. nuclear policy towards the elimination of all nuclear weapons and to build global support for a world completely free of nuclear weapons.
A grant of $800,000 to NTI’s Global Health and Security Initiative to create an international secretariat for CORDs, a coalition of regional networks that share best practices and training toward building a global system for disease surveillance.
A grant of £150,000 to Chatham House for research on what the April 2010 volcano ash cloud incident reveals about preparedness for responding to low probability, high consequence events, and the consequent implications for effectively tackling global threats.
